What is a Stairlift?

A stairlift is a type of elevator that runs on the side of a staircase.
The main purpose is to help people with mobility problems (disabled and elderly) to go up and down the stairs in the house.
Houses in developed countries in Europe and the United States usually have stairs inside, but many houses do not have the space to install a straight staircase. In order to make it easy for people with mobility problems to go up and down the stairs, some companies have introduced elevators (stairlifts) that can be installed on the stairs.
The structure of a stairlift generally consists of three parts: the track, the drive, and the seat. The drive and the seat are installed together, so from the outside, the stairlift looks like a chair running on a track.
